Leo DePaola, Community Development Director for the City of Chico, says “I want to express my gratitude and thanks. I am looking forward to attending my first Community Development Update as a director. I hope I can continue to bring the same type of useful and pertinent information and commentary to the group that Mark Wolfe has in the past. To this end, I will continue the practice of having additional staff join me as specific topics dictate. I look forward to this and future meetings with the Chamber.”
Katie Simmons, President & CEO of the Chico Chamber says, “We host these discussions quarterly and it’s exciting to welcome Leo DePaola to the helm of the Community Development Department. Leo is aware of the challenges within the department and will address these along with questions from the audience. We encourage business owners and developers who interact with the Community Development Department to attend with input that will help Leo build efficient, predictable, and affordable processes and systems.”
“Leo has been great to work with as the Building Official,” says Kate Leyden, Executive Director of Valley Contractors Exchange. “With construction costs rising - for lumber, permits and labor - we look forward to working with him as Director to reduce time and cost to permit. He has always been forward-thinking and supportive of technology, which is a time and cost solution being used in other jurisdictions. Can’t wait to hear his ideas on the 17th!”
This event is free but RSVPs are requested by calling 530.891.5556 or emailing email@example.com or register online at chicochamber.com.
