Doctor Offers 2 Free Seminars: Is Gluten Causing Your Bowel Problems?

Chico, CA –February 8, 2012: One in five Americans suffer from chronic bowel problems, and many mistakenly assume that their problems are caused by gluten. In reality, only one percent of people have a true hypersensitivity to gluten (celiac disease) and about six percent exhibit gluten sensitivities.
Dr. Patrick Giammarise, DC of Chico, CA will be hosting two FREE seminars at the offices of the Digestion Relief Center on Thursday, February 23rd from 4:30 to 5:30 and 6 to 7 PM. At each seminar, “Is Gluten Causing Your Bowel Problems”, North State residents will learn whether gluten sensitivities, wheat sensitivities, or carbohydrate, fat or protein intolerances may be causing bowel problems, and how they can overcome it.
Many people assume their bowel problems and (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) IBS are the result of gluten intolerance and unnecessarily place themselves on highly restricted and expensive diets. The seminar will explore how testing and treating for all types of food sensitivities and intolerances can offer relief for bowel problems.
There is no specific medical biomarker for gluten sensitivity and only about 7% of people actually need to eat gluten free. So the problem becomes a case of mistaken identity.
